Neckline drawstring, gathered, ruffled or banded? Gussets or not? Cuffs open, gathered, ruffled or banded? I'm curious what other folks do, perfer, wouldn't make again, etc. I need at least two new ones and am uninspired. Current Mood: July 14th, 2009: Monday Mutterings What a FULL weekend. Friday: Burbon and Branch for drinks (awesome will go again) then up the street to Cortez for one of the best meals I've ever had. Followed with rum, Sake (the author not the drink) and a fantastic view of the city lights. Saturday: T I R E D. Took le car in for 2 new tires (ouch), birthday gift shopping, then party/dinner with fremerly group. Nice and relaxed, but I pooped out early. Or so I thought. Got home and couldn't fall asleep til 1:00. 8~/ Sunday: Full of FIGHTING! Whoo hoo. Started off kinda weird (I was the only missile combatant of a 20+ TOTAL fighter event) but just kicked back and let it flow. Boy am I outta shape. But physical play is the best form of exercise. Home again, shower and back over to fremerly's house to finish off the birthday dinner leftovers and play games. Too cool. Wanna do it again next weekend. When we were at the Alamdea Fair last weekend, I did just that! And I got my first shipment yesterday. Such georgous produce, I just wanna go home and cook! Box included cherries, necturines (pleasingly tart), corn, carrots, beans, summer squash and fresh basil. Unfortunately I'm booked for dinners until Sunday! (not that that's a bad thing) We did munch some cherries and a necturine last night. But I'm concerned the basil won't last til Sunday. I'm gonna try to make pesto with it tomorrow and then utilize it in Sunday's dinner. Yummy! Current Location: work Current Mood: May 8th, 2009: Meow!

Your result for The Harry Potter Husband Test ...
Your perfect HP man is Bill Weasley.

I'm out of linen? How can that be? I've got a stockpile in my sewing room, years of acquistions, and no linen. Hummmm. And I'd already place a moratorium on myself for no frivolous spending this month.
Now what.

So, no, I didn't get the sewing project done in time for Crown. The sleeve pattern did not work out and rather than rework it I decided to use a pattern I've had success with before. However, I did "something" different and even though I could tell it was off, I went ahead and sewing them into the bodice. The good news is it will be fine once I redo the base sleeve. The bad news is I have to rip out the sleeves and redo the base sleeve.
Other sewing news: I've altered my cotes, two worked, one didn't. The one that didn't never really fit right anyway, so no big loss. The blue one could come in even more, but for now it's fine. Next up; my late Ren period dresses. I usually keep a chunk of fabric from each project in case of repairs or such. Hopefully I've got enough fabric to re-do the bodice(s) of those dresses that need atlering. Sleeves and skirts won't need alteration.
I'm brewing again! Forgot how easy it is and how much I enjoy it. My 5 gallons of porter are busily burping away in the carboy. All in prep for Erinwood. Thankfully beanolc has bottles I can use. I guess I'll have to reinvest in bottles in the near future.
Off to La Prova Dura this weekend, then it's all Erinwood prep til Memorial Day.
